Hizero F600 compared with Kobold SP
2 Very Different Champions
Different Concepts - Different Strengths
Hizero F600 is not a vacuum cleaner. No suction. Instead, it uses a highly absorbent polymer soft-surface roller that sweeps and mops simultaneously. It absorbs spilled liquid and gently collects all kind of solid dirt, transports it inside the machine and separately collects it there. The polymer roller operates at a constant 90 rpm for optimal scrubbing and simultaneous pick-up.Excellently clean
Both concepts show excellent cleaning results. Hizero F600 proves that impressively each time when checking the waste water tank and the solid dirt tray. For Kobold, the dirty microfibre cloth is the proof.
From our point of view, Hizero F600 has some slight advantages on large areas. Especially on dark, shiny floors the risk of traces from dried water is clearly lower. On the other hand Kobold is better in cleaning edges and corners as the microfibre cloth is bigger than the cleaner head. Hizero F600 is leaving roughly 7 mm uncleaned at the edge and also cannot reach into corners completely.
A big plus for Hizero F600 is the capability to absorb liquid effectively. Kobold cannot suck up any liquid. As this might damage the motor, a mechanism will stop the machine immediately when it detects any liquid.
Floor protected

Hizero F600's soft foam-like polymer roller is extremely gentle to all kinds of hard floors. As it absorbs liquid very effectively, it leaves behind only minimal moisture. The floor is more or less directly dry after cleaning.
As Kobold sucks in loose dust before wiping and as it operates with a high-quality microfiber cloth which can absorb substantial amounts also of greasy dirt, the risk of damaging floors is minimal. The liquid on the microfibre cloth can be adjusted dependent on the floor type. Nevertheless, after cleaning, some liquid remains on the floor. This is drying fast, nevertheless Kobold SP is not suitable for certain delicate floor types like unsealed cork.
Detergent necessary?
The set of both cleaners includes a cleaning agent. Both cleaners can be used just with water. However, for achieving an excellent cleaning result with Kobold, it is recommended to add the concentrate Koboclean.
For Hizero F600 we recommend to try just using water. The cleaning result is absolutely convincing. Thus, you are on the safe side under environmental and health aspects. And save the money.
No suction versus suction
While Kobold is a vacuum cleaner, Hizero F600 uses a no-suction technology with a high-density polymer roller.
As Kobold is famous for its tight filter system, the air released is clean with a dust retention of 99.99%. The advantage is even that all dirt is collected in a tight filter bag. So no dust is touched and inhaled again.
Hizero does not release any air. However, at least the solid waste container has to be cleaned every time.
The big advantages of Hizero's no suction technology are (all comparisons with Kobold cordless VB series):
- Low noise level (ca. 60dB against ca. 80dB)
- Low energy consumption (36 Watt against ca. 285 Watt on maximum level)
- Long battery running time (ca. 60 min against ca. 12 min on maximum level)
- Less frequent charging
- Longer battery life
Convenient
Hizero F600 and Kobold VB with SPB are both cordless and convenient to use. With their flexible joints they both are easy to maneuver. Kobold manages small thresholds very well, whereas Hizero F600 has to be lifted slightly.
They both are equally fast to clean a specific area.
Both are not light. Hizero F600 is 4.5 kg; Kobold is even 5.6 kg. While cleaning, you do not feel the weight. The cleaners can be moved with little effort. For transporting on the same floor, both have rollers and do not need to be carried. For moving to another floor, Kobold's main body and cleaning head can be separated. Hizero F600 has to be carried as a whole.
Limited space
In many households space is narrow and difficult to reach with a cleaner. And storage is limited.
In this respect, Hizero F600 has advantages. The size of the cleaning head is smaller (29.5 x 22.4 cm against 38 x 32 cm). Furthermore, the height is a bit lower (9 cm against 10 cm).
Preparation and maintenance
In both cases, preparation for cleaning is easy and fast. It is only necessary to fill the tank and prepare the cleaning tool (wet and insert the Hizero roller or attach the Kobold microfibre cloth).
The maintenance after cleaning is quite different:
Hizero nicely separates
- Dirty liquid in the waste water tank
- Solid dirt in the solid waste tray
- Hair and threads caught by the brush
The polymer roller is permanently cleaned by fresh water and the brush during operation, i.e. it is self-cleaning.
Kobold collects all loose dirt safely in the filter bag. You do not have to care about it anymore. However, cleaning the microfibre cloth (manually or in the washing machine) can take time and effort. This is the most troublesome aspect about Kobold SP.
How about cost?
Purchasing cost and running cost for Kobold depend on the user's specific circumstances, but will be higher in total than for Hizero F600.
However, Kobold is not just a cleaner but a cleaning system. This means, the main body can be combined with different attachments for cleaning hard floors, carpets, mattresses, upholstery and many objects above floor.
Hizero F600 is for hard floors. If you want to clean carpets or mattresses you will need an additional cleaner.
President's conclusion
If you have more or less only hard floors, we recommend Hizero F600.
The combination of cleaning result, convenience, working conditions (noise) and a fascinating, innovative technology is very convincing.
